“IQ Analog is uniquely positioned to now offer multi-channel integration within low cost packaging constraints…we immediately address the wireless infrastructure market with a single IC that replaces the multi-chip solutions in use today…”
-Mike Kappes, President & CEO IQ Analog, Inc.
IQA-F430 Octal 12-bit Wideband Analog Front End
IQ Analog now brings to market an industry first: an 8-channel Analog Front End Integrated Circuit (IC) for multi-channel applications in wireless infrastructure transceivers.
The IQA-F430 8 channel AFE radically alters the existing cost -performance paradigm, ushering in a new era for wireless communication infrastructure providers. IQ-Analog’s ultra-compact and ultra-low-power analog interface components are 10x smaller in die size and require 10x less power than the current industry offerings.
Current: 2x2 MIMO
To date, the greatest density of AFE technology provided in a single IC product is a 2-channel solution. In a 2x2 MIMO application, 4 discrete IC’s miust be used in conjunction with a digital processor IC to form a system solution. For these high density markets, a single IC providing multiple AFE channels offers significant cost advantages over multiple IC’s.
MIMO Configuration with IQA-F430
The IQA-F430 is a versatile low-power, high-performance, 8-channel analog front end (AFE) ideally suited for power-sensitive multi-channel AFE applications such as MIMO radios.
The IQA-F430 utilizes 8 independent 12-bit 80-Msps analog-to-digital converters (ADC’s) and 8 independent 12-bit 320-Msps digital-to-analog converters (DAC’s) for the main signal paths and 8 auxiliary 12-bit 400-Ksps ADC’s and 8 auxiliary 12-bit 400-Ksps DAC’s for ancillary functions.
